Founded in the mid-1950s, Mathis Brothers Furniture is currently a leading furniture retailer in the Oklahoma City region. Upholding these values throughout its decades of operation, Mathis Brothers has expanded to other locations in Oklahoma and Southern California. Brothers Don and Bud Mathis established the first Mathis Brothers store in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Drawing from a childhood of experience helping their mother and father run a furniture store, the Mathis brothers were well acquainted with all aspects of the business before they launched their own company. Don’s sons, Bill and Larry, run Mathis Brothers today. About 40 years following the opening of the first MathisBrothers store, another location was opened in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Soon after, Mathis Brothers branched out into California, with stores in Indio and Ontario, and the Mathis Brothers store in Ontario is the largest furniture retailer in the state of California. Each Mathis Brothers location has received accreditation from the Better Business Bureau.
